Picking Apart Marc Kasowitz’s Statement
The Comey testimony was this Thursday, and while most of it was spoiled by Comey releasing his opening statement ahead of time, it was still an entertaining watch. While I don’t have exact numbers, judging from Twitter’s response, plenty of people tuned in.

Ben Bishop Traded to LA, for Some Reason
Well, it finally happened. Though I must say, I’m surprised about the destination. Ben Bishop has been on the trading block since at least last season. His contract is set to expire this summer. He’s a good goalie, and the Lightning knew this, but they have Andrei Vasilevskiy waiting in the wings and many other expensive contracts to worry about.

Beard Over Brodie For MVP
This season we have been blessed with Russell Westbrook’s pettiness and also the unleashing of his full fury after Kevin Durant bolted for the Golden State Warriors back in July. Now, Westbrook does what he wants, and is launching up triple doubles at an alarming rate. 18 triple doubles so far this season for the Brodie, and he isn’t going to be stopping anytime soon. Westbrook is more than likely favored to be the MVP at the end of the season, and he certainly has the numbers to become the league’s MVP, but he shouldn’t become the MVP unless his team starts winning a whole lot more.

How Mike Trout Can Get Even Better
OF Mike Trout is undoubtedly the best baseball player of the 21st century. He even makes a strong case for best player ever — no player has ever accumulated more WAR through their age-24 season than Trout. Not Ty Cobb, not Mickey Mantle, not Alex Rodriguez — it’s Mike Trout.

Did LA Get Their Super Star?
Two foot surgeries, countless hamstring and ankle injuries and finally the Bills have had enough. While there have been countless reports of Sammy Watkins proclaiming he is now fully at 100% the Bills were never on board. Recently the Bills decided to decline Watkin’s team option for this next season and contract talks were stagnant. Finally the Bills shocked the world by trading the 2015 4th overall pick for CB E.J Gaines and a 2018 2nd round pick. The question is, what does this mean for the Rams?

LaVar Ball Is My Favorite Dad
LaVar Ball has been all over the basketball world over the past few days. He’s said that Lonzo is better than Stephen Curry, he’s said that he could beat Michael Jordan 1-on-1 in their primes, he’s said he could beat Charles Barkley 1-on-1, among other things. LaVar has been thrashed on Twitter and is absolutely not loved. I’m not sure if he’s hitting Grayson Allen’s level, but he sure as hell is starting to get on a lot of basketball fans’ nerves. I like LaVar Ball, and so should you.

Give Edgar Martinez His Due
There is no position more debated than that of the designated hitter. Ever since its introduction to the American League in 1973, fans have been split — should the National League introduce it? Should the AL take it way? Should the DH remain in the AL only to maintain variety?

Is a Banana Boat Team Possible?
With lots of commotion surrounding Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony Tuesday, half of the Banana Boat is very loud in the news currently. Anthony met with Phil Jackson to talk about his future with the New York Knicks, and of course stated that he wants to stay with the team. Chris Paul has a torn ligament in his left thumb and will be out 6–8 weeks. While both of those situations are unfortunate, much like the Baudelaires having to deal with Count Olaf in “The Series of Unfortunate Events”, it had me thinking about a future Banana Boat team, and how this could actually happen.
