corruption
A prime locale to talk bribery, suspect campaign funding, and all other instances of political corruption. The shadier, the better.

Introduction I wasn't so sure about doing this one, and I doubt this will even be considered for the challenge as it is not SWAMP material although it will touch on that, though ironically the video does include a swamp, but I still think it is worth sharing. It will contain lots of pivotal moments and may probably lose me some subscribers but if it makes one person think or give one person inspiration then it will be worth doing.

“Good morning, Reya. Have a great day!” Carl’s familiar greeting broke through the quiet morning air. “Thanks, Carl, you too!” Reya waved back, offering the same smile she had worn for weeks. Her voice sounded more automatic than she intended, the words slipping from her lips without much thought, mechanical, like they were on autopilot. The joy those daily exchanges once brought her had faded, losing their charm after her friend Lila disappeared last year.

It Takes But A Second. Runner-Up in The Moment That Changed Everything Challenge.
I was spending a quiet Saturday morning lounging on my bed, nurturing an injury and letting the week of busyness fall from my shoulders. Mindlessly scrolling Facebook, while deciding what my day should look like.

Author's Note: I am not a political scientist, the below statements are my opinion only. I have been relatively quiet for the last few years. Things in my personal life have been turbulent, but I am now at a place where silence is no longer an option. Before the election, I knew it was a lost cause. With the systemic defunding of education, the American public lacks the critical thinking skills to act in their best interest. If misogyny lost the first election for Clinton, then racism and misogyny lost this one for Harris. When this same thing happened in 2016, I wrote a lot. I wrote about what this meant for the country, and what kind of portent this painted for our future. I got called a lot of things, but most prominently I was called a fear-monger, an extremist, and a feminist killjoy. Looking back at those articles, I was correct about nearly everything I said. I said, that with his winning, we would see the decline of respected science, leading to a largely preventable epidemic. I said that we would see non-white children in cages, separated from their families. I said that we would see a rise in gun violence in public places. I said we would see an attempted coup to retain power. I said a lot of other things, but I think those are the big points. In 2016, at the start of it all, no one ever thought any of those things would happen. And yet here we are.

The Council's Coin
The Council chamber fell silent as the Coin spun through the air, catching the light as it left Councilman Jarek’s fingers. All eyes—representatives, advisors, and press—followed its arc. The moment had arrived. The toss would decide whether to open Valoria’s northern territories for settlement or preserve them as protected land.

MICROSOFT DESIGNER APP This is not all about me. I author these stories about abuse or other genres to help others see the dilemma of being involved with people. This story and many other stories are authored by me to inform people about these psychological issues of relationships. There are times I use "I" because the story was written from a first-person perspective. "I" does not always mean that it's about me. I am 75 years old. I authored articles that were found that I wrote at 16 and 17. So, IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT ME! FYI! Enjoy all! LOVE, PEACE, UNDERSTANDING.
