Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Arrested at His Home.

AMW: Looks on.

It seems the chickens have come home to roost, as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, or AMW, was taken into custody. Unmarked police cars arrived along with 8 plainclothes police officers. The Duke of York recently moved to Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate from Windsor.

Thames Valley Police said they were investigating the ex-prince from the beginning of this month. Investigations into the alleged incident of AMW passing confidential government information to Jeffrey Epstein. This, according to recently released files.

AMW has denied any wrongdoing and said he regrets his friendship with Epstein. Conversely, AMW has not responded to specific requests for comments after the latest files were published by the US government.

Sir Keir has said that just because AMW is a member of the Royal Family doesn't make him above the law. Sir Keir has also urged AMW to give evidence to the US Congress about his ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. AMW is under renewed investigation into alleged sex acts with girls trafficked by the sex offender Epstein.

The Metropolitan Police are making initial inquiries into royal protection officers who were assigned to AMW. Eight police forces up and down the country are looking into various allegations of wrongdoing.

For me, this is the knub of the matter. Did AMW think just because he was a Prince, he could get away with whatever he may or may not have done? The question is, what did other royals know about it? What did the late Queen Elizabeth know? How much did and does the King know about what went on? Will all this come to light, or will it be buried under the carpet? The Royal Family, since the late Queen's passing, has been dropping in popularity. Many people see them, especially Charles, as irrelevant to most people's daily grind of increasing prices, bills, etc. You will see protestors against the monarchy with banners saying in loud and bold letters on banners: "Not my King"!!!

Yes, the monarchy still has supporters, but there is a growing anti-monarchist movement in this country. I think it is absurd in this day and age that we have people from what is basically a medieval institution lording it over us. When the UK is seeing the gap between the richest in our society and the poorest grow ever bigger. I would even go as far as to say it is an abomination.

I believe that if the monarchy were abolished tomorrow, Britain has enough history to keep foreign tourists coming. You can walk around Buckingham Palace now for an extravagant fee, just as you can walk around other grand houses in this country. UK history goes back over a thousand years, or more so, I'm sure foreigners would still flock to see our history. There is also more to British history than London. Yes, London is the capital city; however, history doesn't begin and end there. We have history everywhere in this country.

So with the arrest of AMW, we will have to see what comes of it. What new twists and turns will be revealed as the investigation continues? And what, if any, charges will be brought to the ex-prince? No doubt about it, did the enormity of what AMW was allegedly doing with Epstein and others not register in his mind as "I shouldn't be doing this"? Or did he not give it any thought at all? Just assuming because he was a member of the British Royal Family and he could do what the hell he liked? If so, this shows the total arrogance of this man and the royal institution as a whole in how they think they can treat ordinary people.
