support
A solid support system is invaluable for one's recovery from psychiatric illness and mental health issues.
Antidepressants Were My Friends
I was sitting in the waiting room with a teenage boy. He didn’t look at me, staring at his feet, tapping fingers on his skinny thighs. I don’t remember his face, but I can still picture the weird, black cartoon ACDC t-shirt he was wearing. He reminded me of my brother, a sad metalhead whom no one understood.

“Kidz are Lonesome” - an article for activism
During one of my times in the psych ward I was trying to invent a campaign or foundation or organization called “Kidz are Lonesome” in hopes to bring mental illness in children into the light. My idea of “mental children lack self validation” comes from my own personal past and by wanting to advocate for those little people out there who are suffering in silence or don’t understand the issues pressuring them into an unfamiliar state. These unfamiliar states resembles darkness and deep sadness. With even more than that. As a young adult I’m still scared to be sullen so it’s no joke that I want to protect the younglings from these dark despairs. Dark despairs that are unfair to anybody but are more agonizing and aggressive to accept the matter that little ones feel any of the such.

Self Harm & Suicide
Self-harm & Suicide is a very evocative subject to both discuss with others and to write about. But nevertheless, it is a topic that MUST be talked about freely and widely at the same time too - with everyone. Self-harm & Suicide if not talked about, and the person feeling suicidal not feeling that he/she is being heard, can all too easily escalate to attempting suicide themselves. Within 2019 alone, it was recorded that a terrifying total of 5,691 suicides were registered in just England and Wales (source, Office for National Statistics (ONS.)) Which is staggering and very disappointing - as it shows many people are 'falling through the loop,' at NOT being heard.

#BipolarAF
Hi! I'm Angela and I'm bipolar AF. Yeah, you know what that means. Or do you? If you've been here, done this, then maybe you do really know. If you live with someone and love every second of them, up or down or in between, you might know. If you've educated yourself or otherwise picked up some psychology along the way, you might have an idea.

Life With OCD
As far back as I can remember, I struggled with everything needing to be perfect. My first memory related, was when I was in early elementary school. I had to have my work perfect. By perfect, I mean it had to look absolutely perfect- if I looped a "B," I had to erase but if I left an eraser mark, it didn't count and I would have to copy everything onto a new paper until there were no marks and no messy letters. To this day, people complement my handwriting. The ones I'm friends with, I'll joke about why my handwriting is so neat, other times I'll just thank them and move on.
