Using a Bullet Journal to Relieve Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety is often paired with depression because the feelings of hopelessness and pointlessness inevitably lead to thoughts of how much worse our lives can get. We imagine our lives falling apart, piece by piece, until we fade away into nothing. For me, this often includes how all my responsibilities will go undone and everyone that relies on me or cares for me will stop caring about me.

The Ugly Truth
You can find it in the fashion industry, all over social media, and in a great deal of movies and television shows these days. Society has made mental illness into something that is “cool,” “edgy,” or even “glamorous.” We have somehow turned mental illness into the new "must have" "trend," making it more and more difficult to separate the real, truly mentally ill people, from the ones who WANT to be suffering.

Living With My Grey Cloud
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who prayed every night that she wouldn't wake up. Every morning, she would eat her cereal, put on her school uniform, and struggle through another day of teasing and guilt. She spent playtime crying through loneliness. She ate half her lunch, and lied to her mum about what she ate. She pretended she was okay. She did her homework, read her book instead of going out to play. She went to bed, closed her eyes tight, and prayed that she wouldn't wake up.

Growing up with Addiction
Within our current culture, people often do not realize how alcohol can ruin lives, families, and careers. It is socially acceptable to binge drink to the point of blackout each weekend with friends, have a drink after work every day, and then to post all about it on social media. Am I saying that if you do these things then you're an alcoholic? Absolutely not. What I'm saying is within our current social climate, people often do not give alcohol and the risks associated with its consumption the respect it deserves. I, and many other families plagued by addiction, grew up knowing the extent to which alcohol can ruin a person and their loved one, and as a result, I am always careful when consuming it. Personally, I haven't made the choice to refrain from alcohol consumption all together, but many people have out of fear that it will ruin their lives like it did to their loved ones. Unfortunately there is a persisting culture of shame surrounding this issue, and in an attempt to break some of the barriers down, let's have an honest conversation about alcohol.

Focus on Your Kids
As our generation begins to mature and sprout, we may notice that while some thrive and socialize — others will sit back and almost disappear. As a person who suffers with depression, I can tell you that even though most people believe they know what it is, you probably don't know the details of it. In-depth depression is more then a serious sadness and it has consumed 20 percent of teens before they reach adulthood.

The Horrors of High-Functioning Depression
Usually depression is portrayed as not getting out of bed, or being extremely suicidal. But depression isn’t that easy to spot. It isn’t so black and white. Depression is a sneaky creature that attacks its prey in the dark, where the naked eye can’t see and the human brain can’t fathom. It’s doing what you have to do with the feeling of emotional detachment. The difference between me and a robot is that I have a brain, and organs, and I can breathe. My body is a plane and I’m on autopilot.

Depression and Education
Hi. I'm Jade, a 20-year-old university student studying graphic design, and I am in my second year. I live in a town in Yorkshire, England, still with my parents. I'd move out, but property is pricy in my area, even to rent. There is also the fact I suffer from anxiety and depression, which puts a toll on my confidence and motivational levels.
