Cleveland State licks boots
There lies a husk on the first floor of the Cleveland State University Student Center. The spot, formerly inhabited by Chili’s, has been vacant since this past summer, when Aramark, the new food service company for CSU, took over. Aramark stated that students could expect to see a Chick-fil-A open in the empty spot for the Spring 2022 semester. Although the location has not yet opened, this was surprising and worrying news to me and many other students.

Why are adults so confused by gender non-conforming children?
Most of the time, society groups children by their assumed roles according to their assigned sex. People assigned male at birth wear pants, play sports, and keep their hair short to look boyish. People assigned female at birth paint their nails, shop for dresses, and enjoy colours like pink and purple. The gender hierarchy has existed longer than any of us have been alive: and assumed gender roles have existed alongside it. Gender is something that needs to be challenged; it's a spectrum, and there is so much more to it than just male or female. Challenging gender norms doesn't come without backlash, and this is why it's so important to continue doing it.

I quit. I'm gay.
“I quit.” Month after month of working myself to exhaustion at a high stress job that gave me a good paycheck at the expense of my self worth had finally come to an end, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t tempted to jump right back into it. I’d grown used to the rigorous schedules, the strict attendance policies, to the constant cigarette smoking and drinking as ways to try to cope with the intense workload I’d always been given; and again, the money I received for it was phenomenal.

Stop Saying These Things to Trans People!. Top Story - December 2022.
This article contains use of language, anatomy terms, and questions that may be triggering to the LGBTQIA+ community. Since coming out as transgender, I've really noticed a difference between the way people treated me as a girl, and the way people treat me as a boy. Especially online, I'm spoken to differently: and a lot of the time, my identity is disregarded completely by people who are insecure about themselves when they acknowledge it. Though I've known for a long time about chasers* in the trans community, I never experienced one firsthand until recently, and it got me wondering. I have a cisgender friend I've known since college, who was never shy about his attraction to me, and who hasn't toned it down at all since I came out. Not too long ago, he said something that really stuck with me, while also completely bringing into question our relationship.
