California's Prop 64
After nearly a century of misinformation, people have finally taken a look at the war on drugs and found that it’s got some serious problems. Especially weed, which has long been touted as a “gateway drug” that would surely lead to a life of oral sex in back alleys to pay for it. Which is, of course, absurd to anyone who knows anything about marijuana. As a result of this enlightenment, the move to legalize weed as an alternative to alcohol has gained a lot of momentum, aided by the medicinal properties inherent to the plant. California, my adopted state, passed a proposition last year that made recreational weed completely legal…"kinda".

Louis Armstrong and Marijuana
Louis Armstrong is often remembered as one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. Is Marijuana Addictive?
When you ask people "Is marijuana addictive?" you will hear a variety of very strongly phrased responses to that question. A lot of old, crusty men will argue "Marijuana is worse than heroin!" (Hi, Jeff Sessions!), while others, mainly stoners, argue that smoking grass is harmless and impossible to get addicted to.

Prescription Meds You Shouldn't Mix with Weed
One of the best things about the legalization push is that people are beginning to really, truly embrace the benefits that marijuana can offer them. We've grown to agree that it's safer than cigarettes, a healthy way to cope with pain, and also can have a huge slew of benefits for people who have health problems. Weed, for the most part, is a good plant with great medical benefits.
