Winter's Touch
like a Rondel

A silver sky called bleak wanted to cry
but no tearful clouds could answer why -
beautiful winter's time had arrived
and to Autumn we said a sad goodbye.
As unique flakes filled the atmosphere
bedazzled children felt like graceful deer,
frozen in awe at the magic of the sky,
bewildered in joy to know Winter's sigh.
Winter's touch is like melting crystal in air -
gathering a miracle of white snow flair -
touching icy cold mystery to feel anew -
experiencing love, life, and faith that grew.
From bleak sky and dingy boring streets
to a magical white wonderland where cold lovers meet;
From Autumn's rainbow of branches and leaves
to the softness of Winter's touch in the breeze,
and the blanket of snow to cushion souls with ease.
