It was exciting to start choosing which

75 poems to send to the publisher

but now it is so hard

to have to re-read about a love like

no other, nothing ever experienced before

a divine synchronicity

and then losing it

the emotions of euphoria and depth

that I thought were here to stay

then re-reading the heartbreak

reliving it, heart stuttering

and now thankful that I'm halfway done

no- one can ever call me a quitter

my heart has never stopped waiting

even when I gently pull it back

it goes back

to there where my mind is

where my soul refuses to give up.

The publisher wants to start

formatting this week

so I have to keep re-reading and choosing

poems I can't really read

through my tears

but it's all good

I keep telling myself

to reassure myself

that I'll be okay

and I know I will

I'm great at keeping secrets

the One who set me in motion

knows everything

so for now, I'll have to choose

the ones that will be seen by

strangers

who will see my heart on display

in a museum of emotion

and denial of same

only 50 to go...
