It is not an easy thing, resetting the mind.
*
Running on autopilot for so long, memories
morph into beliefs, into patterns, into habits,
*
until we see the whole process born of Fate,
rather than forgotten choices. Ego thrives
*
in the drought of ideas, splintering anything
contrary to the norm, using every trick it
*
can muster to keep us in the loop of
barren familiarity. Familiar, yes, but
*
vaguely unsettling: Is this all there is?
Why is there so much pain, so much fear?
*
Questions like darts finding the bullseye,
breaking through the morass of illusion
*
until it occurs the questions are themselves
the key, slowly turning the lock of understanding.
*
Gears painstakingly click back into alignment
with Light, with Consciousness, with Love.
*
It is not an easy thing, resetting the mind.
*
But to find our path to Peace,
there is
no
other
choice.

Makes me see parallels in my own life. I could definitely use another reset. Very well done!
Oh wowww, this was so profound and beautifully written! Loved your poem!
I love this! Personally, I suffer from epileptic seizures that reset my brain without warning, wiping my memory. I wouldn't exactly call it 'peaceful', but I appreciate your sentiment, and your formatting. Eloquent word choice! ⚡♥️⚡
This is so well written David! My favourite part was this: 'Questions like darts finding the bullseye, breaking through the morass of illusion'
