The Ghost’s Life Unseen

Ghost’s Life

By Andrew MilePublished about a year ago 1 min read

I drift through walls, unseen, alone,

A wisp of breath, a hollowed bone.

In shadowed halls where silence grows,

I am the murmur no one knows.

I watch the living come and go,

Their lives a dance, a steady flow.

Yet I remain, both here and not,

A relic time and fate forgot.

Fingers reach but pass right through,

No warmth, no touch, no sky so blue.

I haunt the dreams that time has cast,

Bound by memories that hold me fast.

The world moves on, while I remain,

A soul entwined in loss and pain.

But in my depths, a flicker stirs—

The ghostly heart that still remembers.

I linger here, my story untold,

In whispers soft, the air turns cold.

For though I’m lost to earthly sight,

I am the echo in the night.
