performance poetry
Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
Running Away
He ran away. Away to a new life. The life he was living was no longer suitable. It never brought him happiness. It never brought him a pinch of pleasurable pain. Just a sadness. The people around him were so happy. Some were just content with the life they lived. Not him he needed more. He needed to know what happiness felt like. At least for one day.

The Pain
The pain, I fucking hate you! You bother me every night and everyday. I have to face you in every way. Seeing you bothers the shit out of me, dealing with your bullshit bothers the shit out of me. I hate that I can’t get rid of you, you are a part of me. I can’t get rid of you... why don’t you just go away. Take a fucking hint and fucking leave. Why won’t you just go away already... I try not to complain, I try not to cry, out of anger a tear falls. I hate arguing. I can’t live without you. As much as I hate you, you hold me up. You got my back no matter what... I still fucking hate you. You can never make up your damn mind, hurt me or don’t... but you always have my back.
