Beauty Fades
She was a beautiful flower once. Once firm and thick, worn petals softly curl in their new thinning state until they whisper gossamer dreams to the rising sun, who replies with a warming glow just for her. The sun knows that she will go on, long after this fading beauty gently falls to the earth un-noticed and without a sound.

Tattoo Series
Tattoo Series prologue I was raised by a badass mother with some seriously cool ink. My older sister was a rebel from a young age, and she instilled in me a sense of IDGAF that I still carry with me to this day. Both women, along with countless media icons (Billie Joe, anyone?), inspired my love for body art. Folks with tattoos are the best of our kind. They have always fascinated me. I often find myself staring, wondering what each individual piece means to the owner. Maybe they mean nothing. Maybe they mean everything.

LOOKING OUT TO SEA"
I lived in South Texas on a peninsula protruding into the Gulf of Mexico in the fishing villages of Fulton and Rockport. I took the photo one foggy day 9 years ago. When I lived there the tropical birds that occupied the coast became my friends and my comfort zone as they seemed to pose for me on many occasions. I have so many personal photos of the beautiful birds of South Texas. I wanted to share with my friends on Vocal.
