Rubber Ducky Bright

~ Haiku string

By Rowan Finley Published about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Rubber ducky bright

Hold little baby so tight

So tiny and light

~

Hear the hymns sung sweet

And the traffic on the street

Sight of yawn, a treat

~

The day is lovely

Your smile is like honey

Crinkly face, funny

~

Wonder in your face

Your heart thinks it’s all a race

Your life, full of grace

~

I don’t blame you much

You crave attention and touch

Play pen is a crutch

~

See how the moss sleeps

Lulling your kind eyes to keep

Restful joys you reap

~

Swaying dopamine

Rocking chair starts to recline

Childlike lifeline
