Although friends can hurt and betray
Mine always comes back my way
May hurt me but never abandoned
Comes and goes I prefer that way
Hate the presence of my friend
But appreciate the friendship and what it creates
Pushing me and my greatest motivator whether wanted by me or not
this friend loves me in a strange way
I'd prefer none of it yet get so much
I must find appreciation n trust
In the driving force behind us
Love it or not lifetime friend I know I have
I know I must embrace
For this friendship I can always trust
My friend brings the best out of me
Hate the friendship for years I fought
Now embrace the Pushes of pain appreciative in the end for what it brought
So Thankful for my friend name pain for pain we can give thanks
for it

If you have ever heard a tale about yourself that you cannot remember and doubtless think is made up, you will know how I felt when Tharkin related all that the eagle had seen of me before my memories were scattered. Of far distances and traveling companions that I did not recall, camping out under the stars and making our way to the mountains with deliberate purpose.
