We're driving with the windows down and hot air set to medium.
My hair is whipping around me as I scream the lyrics to some pop song.
I put my head on my arm and look out the window at the stars as I sing along.
Leaning back in, I look at my friend and laugh at her singing with an empty water bottle.
Throwing my hand out the window, I pretend it's a surfer riding an airwave.
When the car stops at a light, we look at each other and finish the song, acting as the instruments.
It's moments like this that make me wish summer could last a lifetime.
