Meditation in the Garden
Led by my kid daughter

Little daughter, 6
declared on this sunny morning
that in the backyard garden,
near the Buddha statue,
we would do meditation.
She spread a mat
we joined, and she began
in a soft voice:
“Close your eyes.
Pretend like you are sleeping.
Listen to the rustling of the trees.
This peace cannot be found
in an amusement park.
Be one with nature.
Breathe in… breathe out.
Forget all your problems.
Reminisce about good times.
Be easy on yourself.
Feel peace.
The rustle of the breeze
through the canopy, is music.
We don’t need any other.
Let the sunlight fall on your skin.
Let the vitamin D seep through.
Om…”
I was genuinely impressed.
Later, she showed us
a few yoga moves.
I followed her guidance
a serene session,
right in our own backyard.

She is so perfectly cute! What a special little girl.
Whoaaaa, at just 6 years old, she's so smart and wise!
How wonderful and in a way, I do the same thing when I get flustered of just feeling low. You must be so proud when you see them doing things like this. The image is awesome.
