A Poem

Might as well get used to it

Life is full of disappointment

No one shows you who they really are

We all live our lives

Based on lies

Lies we tell ourselves

Lies we tell each other

Lies we construct in our minds

All in order to stay with each other

Lies not of malice

But to hide our scars

To live the lives we wish we had

The people we strive to be

While living in fear

That people will see

Our fragility

Good one!! 👍☺️Yes, but they are out there.. I can’t find them in “real life” but on here they are often very forthcoming.

  • This was extremely deep. Loved your poem!

  • Fake it 'til you make it. But what of those of us who never do?
