If money fell from trees ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Like falling leaves. ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

By Novel AllenPublished 5 months ago โ€ข 1 min read

Ancient tree watches...

golden bills scatter...sate souls -

Like quiet hunger

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Nature's quiet dream

Falling like silver...watching

Souls chase what wonโ€™t stay.

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Golden coins scatter

Tempting abundance of joy

Dreams flitting away

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Coins clink in the breeze,

each one a sirenโ€™s promise -

branches bend to song.

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Temptation's tree sighs

Shadowy figures swirl...laugh,

Ancient wind absconds

๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Gleeful silent ghosts

pluck gold fruits before they fall -

Time steals all away.

๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ธ

Amber dreams descend -

whispers of wealth on the wind,

Gold melting to time.

I especially loved the way you compared it to a siren's promise. Beautiful poem!
