My heart runs to you when I have no other:
I know you will always be there to comfort.
You are warm and kind like a good mother,
Also like a guide...quite expert and a bit covert.
Hope cannot ever be hidden from me on roads often dark
my feet, as I trod, won't be cut on any stone, twigs, or bark.
You draw me into your safety with subtle glow
but somehow (deeply) with each flicker I know...
I have a lasting, unchanging, true friend I call mine
and that is enough to sustain me throughout all of time.

So beautiful and true! I especially love the conclusion: “ I have a lasting, unchanging, true friend I call mine and that is enough to sustain me throughout all of time.”💖
