I have to build this plain today.

I separate the streets, I surrender the sides

to the four cardinal points,

from a place off, I open the doors

of an unused castle.

Climb up the stairs of the tower

to the top of the roofs

a half white spot

among the stone carpets.

Upstairs is the street above

a cat passes between the two

below, is the street below.

I choose the balconies around

there is a river that takes me like a boat

in this singing here sung. Today I have

to build this plain

the edges of the borders

a change of countries

the other side shredded

by cows and worked greens.

On the side of the cemetery

life is perhaps wilder

the rabbits and the partridges

and what is born without planting.
