How I forgot him. Years have passed and he is truly no longer in my thoughts. Sometimes he appears in my dreams, but more like a mistake — as if he stole someone’s role and suddenly appeared where he doesn’t belong. The truth is he is no longer in my mornings, days, or nights. Gone are the times when I was with him and when I left.
In the beginning, he was like a nightmare. Everything he did, they told me it would be easier if I forgave — and I worked on that. How I forgave him, I don’t even know myself. At first I blamed him, but the moment I said that he is happier with her, then I separated him from my anger. I said: let him be happier with her. And then I forgave — fifteen years of marriage, and that was the moment.
I realized they were made for each other. Later I heard they were together, but didn’t have the courage to break everything. Their plan didn’t fully succeed. And honestly — I feel sorry. Such love should have been immortalized, because it broke an innocent, young, and sincere girl who believed she would be loved for the rest of her life.
Today I say: they were forgiven long ago.
Because I found a love that is returned to me. And they remained separated and never found what they never even had — nor did they know it existed.
