During The Night

depression

By Linda GoodmanPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Under the dark sky, a soul is in distress,

Singing the ballad melancholy, in sadness.

Thick shadows, a veil on the heart,

Silent depression, a burden of pain.

In the hollow of the night, the echo of pain,

A mantle of sadness, a heavy chain.

Words are lost in bitter silence,

Depression, an internal storm.

But remember, even in the deep night,

There is a light, a glow that resonates.

Hope, like a phoenix, can be reborn,

Unfolding her wings, in the sky perhaps.

In the murmur of the wind, a sweet promise,

The rose of dawn, a glow that caresses me.

In the hollow of the clouds, a glow emerges,

A smile of hope, a flame that converges

And hope springs eternal. There is always light in the darkness. Well said, and a lovely poem.
