Beyond Every Wall
A Ghazal of Distance, Certainty and Quiet Anchors
By heasb001Published about 5 hours ago • 1 min read

This ghazal reflects the tension between motion and stillness, between certainty and doubt. The beloved becomes a quiet anchor—present not through closeness, but through meaning. It is a poem about how love survives distance by becoming direction itself.
Against the shoulders of silence, you are my rest,
Amid all this leaving, you are my steadiness.
The world passed by, unaware of our quiet pain,
For in all I do not know, you are what remains.
I neither stay to question, nor leave to flee,
Between staying and going, you are the mystery.
Though distance rose like walls before my sight,
Beyond every wall, you are my other side.
