Delicious food galore
found in stores,
but the preservatives
make my skin itch,
nostrils tingle,
so homemade is best.
I craved fresh bread,
on this cold day,
so went to the kitchen,
kneaded a dough,
with yeast, oil, salt,
sprinkled with nigella seeds
baked a loaf.
It turned out crispy,
with golden crust,
spongy interior,
made neat slices.
Slathered with generous dollops
of cream cheese,
it was so delicious,
of course, healthy,
fulfilling, affordable too.
The whole family ate
with zeal and gratitude,
inspiring me,
to bake more often,
the way it should be.

I thought everyone knew that homemade bread is always the best. Great job and now I want some.
I have to learn how to do this! Always promised myself to learn (the last time I made pizza dough it was a real disaster)!
Looks so delicious, Seema! One of my daughters is an avid baker. She has similar issues with store-bought bread.
I think I might come to your house with the intention of being asked to stay for lunch …..your a domestic goddess this looks amazing 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Now I want to bake bread! I loved the rhythm of your poem, kinda like the movements of kneading the dough.
I wish I could have some of the bread too hehehehe. It looks so good. Did you make the cream cheese from scratch too?
