Playing With Natural Materials

A way to honor nature

We all need happiness,

and I believe strongly,

it can be reaped

by own efforts

not borrowed from others.

Nature,

our greatest source of happiness,

all you need is mindfulness.

So, I found a circle of wood

on a walk,

and some dead rosemary stalks.

Installed and twisted them,

hung wild strawberry flowers.

I assembled into an art,

simple, aesthetic,

and all natural.

I taught the kids,

it reminds of Japanese ikebana,

rosemary is romero in Spanish,

and that's how you

honor Mother Nature,

noticing her spectacles,

picking her treasures,

creating lovely thins,

deriving guilt-free pleasure

feeling gratitude.
