A crimson vow

poem 3

By Skippie PetrovaPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

“A crimson Vow”

Your love comes dressed In midnight hues

A whisper sharp as shattered Glass

You trace my heart In shades of blue

Then burn it black as hour's passed

We dance where angels freaked to tread

In candle smoke and wilted roses

Each kiss a pact the moonlight read,

Each sigh a spell that never closes

You touch both daggers and delight

A fever I could never flee

You call me your beneath the night

And darkness swore you would die with me

Now every dream bleeds through my veins

Sweet venom cloaked in velvet art

For our love reigns forever

A curse a craving of the heart
