A Back Road Home

No Map Needed

By Luke BergeePublished 4 years ago 1 min read
The Great Smoky Mountains

I'm on the clock day-dreamin'

'bout a place so dear to me.

When it's five on the dot i'm leavin',

To a place so heavenly.

It's a long 'ol drive to sunshine,

I've got nowhere else to be.

Guaranteed to be a good time,

cuz baby it's destiny.

Four wheels and no thoughts,

Just a happy soul and smiles.

Cold beers, no road blocks,

I'll drive this road for miles.

Good times a'comin' on,

with your bare feet on the dash.

True love is my favorite song,

so I sing off tune and laugh.

I'm en route to happiness,

down that old familiar road.

With just a tank of gas to get

me back to home sweet home.
