📢 Raise Your Voice Thread: 02/19/2026
Champion your favorite creators

Our “Raise Your Voice Threads” are hosted most alternating Thursdays at 12PM ET to offer creators more avenues to uncover exceptional stories on Vocal. As we are continuously searching for fresh creators and inspiring stories, this thread provides an opportunity to exchange and discuss the stories that have moved and motivated us on Vocal.
How to join the 📢 Raise Your Voice Thread:
- Introduce yourself in the comment section of this story and tell us what you create on Vocal.
- Shoutout a Vocal creator you recommend reading. Include the URL of a writer or story that inspired you and why.
- If you like a story another person has recommended, send that story's creator a like, leave a comment, and/or subscribe to them.
Please follow Vocal’s Community Guidelines and don’t spam your own profile or stories in the thread. We encourage the community to report users or comments that break these guidelines.
We'll start the thread:
Give The woman who controls the weather by OG Vocal member Susan Fourtané a read. It's a sharp and witty reminder that the quiet writer in the corner may already be drafting your dramatic exit.

I am hoping that each of you read one of Lizz's stories. I am completely obsessed by them. If you love honesty and delicious metaphors in characterizations, then you will be too! https://todaysurvey.life/chapters/hunny-8v31j502us%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E As you can tell, it is in the Chapters...start with the first if you'd like, but they are ALL so very good. Lizz Chambers is on fire!

Hey! I'm Cristal, and I mostly write fiction and poetry, but every now and then a personal essay finds its way out of my pen. You're welcome to join me in my little corner 🧡 A poem that I still think about a month after reading it is one by Natasha Collazo. https://todaysurvey.life/poets/cupid-made-me-do-it-j3vi09r0%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv class="css-w4qknv-Replies">
And this review because more people need to read this book. It's outstanding. The Big Book Review: "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman (Pt.1) | Geeks https://share.google/c1o1ehepuTL49cxMp
Soon It Will Be Hot | Poets https://share.google/bvcJDJ6GTaquWrK1z This by Silver Daux. Always on point. The photo is gorgeous too.
This was a great review by Rachel Robbins "Wuthering Heights" (2026) | Geeks https://share.google/j6uIjDx22jU7eozUQ
Check out this poem from Michele Nampalli: https://todaysurvey.life/poets/salt-wuedq0wz9%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E Everything I’ve read by this author has been great, but this poem in particular is especially moving. When I read it I felt transported to a place where sadness and peace stand side by side. Would love to see her poem land some recognition.
