Cameras can be complicated; a breakdown of the latest in camera technologies and photography techniques to help you get the perfect shot.
Slices of momentum
a picture speaks a thousand words. that is why I love them. a picture can remind you vividly of a fleeting moment. they can jog your memory and take you back in time. you can capture a moment as the BFG captures dreams. photographs also are a great way to share memories and moments especially ones harder to describe with many fine details which erode over time and subsequent experience, in our mental archives. Pictures are great for sharing, almost as great as sharing a meal. In a way they are like meals, as they can sometimes be considered "food for thought". they can be very evocative to thoughts and emotions. feelings and mindsets. Pictures certainly all carry a feeling, or an energy, a vibe, which tells a story of a time which is now, past and gone, yet preserved, in the form of a key to unlock and recollect. A momento. Pictures help us to share different perceptions with one another, and to share moments of life which may otherwise be missed. art of all kinds, wedding albums, TV coverage of "xyz". This is why I love to take photographs. I am by no means a professional, neither am i skilled to any meaningful degree. I simply use a camera phone, and I simply point and shoot. my aim is to attempt, to capture, the essence of whatsoever stokes my interest, my curiosity, my sense of appreciation or wonder or awe, or that which stokes my sense of humor even. I have at times used a sort of semi crossover camera, but with no knowledge or experience to get the best out of it. I can however say I have taken some interesting and cool shots. more than anything, I capture a moment, a feeling, a connection of some sort. I love to share my photos because there are only two reasons to take any. 1... is to remember, and 2... is ultimately to share that memory. Sharing is caring and so if the energy of a picture is good to me I believe it may be good for others. Camera phones can hold their own in terms of capturing memories. A camera phone will not give the top quality and the full control over as much as a quality camera can, but they can sure capture a moment. They are pretty good at sharing too. the wildlife shots I am sharing have been obtained over quite a few years now, literally just along the way. either on holiday or on a lunch break etc, out in the city or in the countryside etc. Quite a few are pet photos and some were taken during a trip to a safari park ( https://www.woburnsafari.co.uk/ ). from insects, to birds, to domestic cats and dogs, to brown bears, I've thrown a bit of everything in there as much as possible. I find if there's any knack at all to taking a picture (aside from having the skills and the camera to level up your game), it would be that, the moment comes to you and you must be ready to capture it. this is how to capture a moment and thus a great picture or memory that just has to be shared. It comes to you, you seize it. for me that's all I do. That's how I captured every single one of these shots. if you happen to see a pose, it was given to me. there is no other method I use. it could also be called luck, being in the right place at the right time and just possessing an eye for whatever it may be. ok I admit, sometimes I may seek some particular vantage point or another or seek out a perspective I wish to convey, but the moment always comes to me.

Colors
Living in the city, it is not often that I have the chance to observe any color other than the green of the foliage and the gray of the buildings. Of course, there are beautifully painted murals and even some artistic graffiti that makes the city more lively but when it comes to wildlife, you’d be lucky if you came across a bright red Northern Cardinal or a Wood Pecker covered in spots with a red – and maybe yellow – tuft of hair on its head. That’s why when I took a trip to Mexico, I made it my mission to capture the most vibrant, colorful wildlife I could find.

Alaskan Wonderland
I am by no means a wildlife photographer or seeker of extreme experiences, unless you count going for a winter drive in my little corner of the world. Fairbanks, Alaska may be known as the “Land of the Midnight Sun,” but come winter the more appropriate name would be “Land of the Three Hour Sun.” Winter in the far north can be brutal as you fight not only darkness night and day, but also temperatures that drop well below zero and stay that way for months. This past winter we even set a new record, 180 days at 40 degrees or more below zero. That is almost half a year living in temperatures that could kill you in a matter of minutes! If the extreme temperatures don’t get you then the animals themselves might. Having a moose in your yard is not uncommon, and a legitimate reason to be late for work. These gorgeous vegetarian giants may seem harmless, but in reality they injure more people every year than the feared grizzly. I guess with that in mind, I am willing to go to extremes for a picture.

Feeling Froggy? Then don't jump!
I awoke one morning with what seemed to be every muscle in my upper body aching. The events from the previous day seemed to have left me sore and slowly moving to position myself on the edge of my bed. I had worked a full shift at my job which involved heavy lifting. I came home that evening and quickly changed into athletic wear to get a quick workout in. What happened after that workout is what I assume to be me falling asleep and awaking at a little after 7 AM. That was ok, I just knew that today was going to be the day I got my perfect shot.

Capture the Wild
For this writing challenge, adventure ended up finding me in a beautiful gem of an island called Curaçao. National Geographic 4k images always fascinated me, you wonder; those artists and photographers don’t panic, they go out there with camera in hand, and witness some of the most beautiful natural phenomena in some hidden gem of a locale that only Walter Mitty would imagine on one of his daydreams, and for an extraordinary journal no less, and it’s totally worth the money.

I'm Not Fat, I'm Just Fluffy
I’m sitting on my deck with my camera on my lap. My goal is to capture every moment. I see them coming in droves. Neighborhood families rush toward me in a mad frenzy. Evidently, the word has gotten out that there is a party at our house.

A shot for hope
Boredom, lost, anxiety, depression, and mostly, fear. This were the words defining my “quarantine” confinement. As not everyone here in Mexico I´ve been staying home for a year now, we began believing it will be over in just forty days. It now feels like a lifetime, not knowing what day it is or what month. Covid came and finished to destroy my hopes. Even Christmas, that time of the year that restores me.

Best shot
Showing interactions between wildlife species is a great way to create an interesting image.Slowly, cautiously, I lay down on my stomach on the damp tundra. My long lens reached out in front of me as I wriggled slowly forward toward my unsuspecting quarry. Closer, closer I crawled, until the composition finally resembled what I wanted.

Meerkat
Recently, my family took a day trip to somewhere that we had never been before and somewhere that would interest and hopefully wear-out my five-year-old daughter, who doesn’t seem to appreciate that nearly everyone in her family is her senior, by twenty-four years or more and therefore lacking her enthusiasm and ability to climb steep surfaces in some cases.

The Wild Life
On November 20th 2019, It was the best trip of my life. Actually It was the only trip in my life as an adult at the time, with the people that I love the most. My friends, family and the love of my life made it all possible. I honestly don't know what I would do without them. They knew what would make me so happy.
