humanity
Isn't it ironic that the very best of humanity is seen through the love and empathy we show to our pets?
Present in Arabia
The feeling Bobbie has when she is riding Arabian horses particularly in the Middle East leaves her euphoric, for her there is no other feeling like it in the world. A few years back she couldn’t understand two things: why she loved horses and why she felt euphoric when she was around them. She travelled frequently to the Persian Gulf. Whenever she could that was where she headed. The barren landscape, the extreme heat, the extreme cold, the unreliable and highly erratic rainfalls, the never-ending sand dunes were all part of her spectacular experience.

Custard, Sausage and Mash
Monday 16th April I was woken up by Custard sniffing around my front porch again this morning. Well I was already up, but it was early! And it’s lucky I was up because otherwise I wouldn’t have seen him relieving himself on Joshua my garden gnome. AGAIN!

Help The Animals
When Joseph was seven years old, he thought he could communicate with dragonflies. At the time there was a large brown dragon fly that would follow him to school almost every morning. Typically dragonflies only live for six months, but to Joe it felt like that one insect was in his life for so much longer.

The richest dog in the world
I am not really the richest dog in the world, that was to get your attention. I am certainly not the late Gunther the Third, may he fetch forever in the prairies of heaven, the German shepherd who got 65 million from his human when she passed away. And not even one of those Oprah Winfrey's canines who are poised to inherit a $30 million trust fund when the time comes. In my case, it’s just $20,000.

My Lovely Pets
Bandit My first rescue was Bandit. At the time that I got him he was a seven year old chihuahua. I seen him on facebook for free he had 24 hours to be picked up or he had to go to the shelter. I knew being seven years old he probably wouldn't find a home very well. His owner had died, she had him his whole life he was a sad little boy anyway he needed someone to love him. So he was my first forever rescue. He is the sweetest little guy ever he was very loved and you could tell it. I have had him five years now. At first I didn't think he would become my forever cause he had never seen children before. His owner who passed was in her 80s.

Meet My New Furry
I feel fortunate for loving animals and need to admit to you it hasn’t always been the case. I never hated them or stayed careless whenever I was witnessing some cruel behavior toward them. But, I can’t say I had a particular connection with those beautiful living creatures!

The Human Animal Bond
Anthrozoology or the Human Animal Bond is a real and evidenced area of research. What I mean by this is that there is actual scientific evidence that having pets can be good for you. Maybe not all pets and maybe not for everyone, but there are definitely advantages, hear me out. People love animals, yes, and many people think animals love them back, too. Every species has been on an epic journey of how they first associated with humans, how they were seen to be helpful such as wolves beginning to protect human camps in return for food which over thousands of years lead to the domestication of wolves and over time the changing into subspecies of dogs. The same has been seen in the domestication of horses whose ancestor was the size of a modern-day fox. Over 65 million years, to be precise, horses have been domesticated and bred originally for food, then utilities such as agriculture, riding for war, leisure and sport. But is there such a bond and advantage to keeping domestic animals, even today? Well, I think there is.

Animal Companions
When I was a child I said I was going to be a Veterinarian and Psychologist. Well, I could barely pass Biology in high school because I refused to dissect a Frog...just for beginners. However, my love of Animals and behavior turned into rescuing hard to catch, abused, and neglected animals, rehabilitating and rehoming these Animals, (mostly Dogs, however, included Cats, Lizards, Birds, and more.)

What a diabetes assistance dog can do
It’s tough being a diabetic or having a diabetic child, things change everyday so not everyday is the same. One thing may work one day the next could be a different story. My son (Jaxon) is the first in the family to be diagnosed with diabetes, so when Jaxon was diagnosed I went into shock! I had to learn fast and on the spot, some days I felt like I was a lousy back up pancreas. During this Jaxon has learnt so much even tells people that his pancreas is broken.
