cat
It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
Shadow and His Funny ways
When I was a little girl, at the ripe age of nine, I got a cat. It had been some months since my dog got loose and was hit by a car. It was my first pet and I was heartbroken. Every time someone mentioned his name or showed me his picture, I would cry. I lost my first furry best friend.

Murphy . Third Place in Critter Costume Challenge.
Meet Murphy. The St.Patrick’s day baby, hence the name. My cousin runs the local rescue where I got him from as a kitten. He was already named when we got him but “Murphy” really did seem to work for him so it stuck.

Cats Are Also Bats
Halloween is always a big deal at our house, and everyone always gets involved, and that means cats, ferrets, dog etc. Everyone gets treats, if they dress up, and that means a costume portrait for a treat, time permitting. It is always a busy time for us too, with celebrations and festivities. And, sometimes entertainment events. I have taken to putting together a fancy table spread of goodies for spooky movie watching snacks and fun. Pets are never left out of the fun no matter what, they get holiday themed toys, treats, and love to watch me prepare for the festivities. They are constant companions and loyal devotees.

Love Lost, and Lost Again
As cats go, my Chloë was on the small side. And, nearing 20, she had become frail and wizened. She was so skeletal despite her huge appetite that I often feared I might break her with an errant step or by picking her up in just the wrong way.

Super Tsuki
Tsuki is quite the superhero. She arrived on the scene when we needed her the most this summer. Our fluffy kitty companion of thirteen years suddenly got ill and passed away at the beginning of the summer. It left a massive hole in our lives and hearts. Our home felt empty and despite knowing that she was no longer with us physically, we would often search for her. It was a difficult transition. The end of July came around and in waltzed Tsukihime, the nutty, tiny kitten with a massive personality.

Sphynx-loving and friendly cats for homes
Neonatalisoerythrolysis (Ni) comes from many types of cats (see breeds) and you are more likely to have type B blood in your SPHN If you decide to get one of these cats to have a pet, there is a good chance that even if you own SPHYX, you will never have another kind.

THE NIGHT BEFORE HALLOWEEN
Hello! My name is Magic! Yes, I am a black cat. As for holidays, my favorite is Christmas! Historically, black cats have been associated with Halloween. It goes back to the Pilgrims. Their witchhunt views. Go figure! While some consider black cats bad luck, in other cultures, black cats are considered lucky and bring affluence. My preference is the latter.

Inara
Growing up, I’ve had two cats that really made an impression on me. When I was a kid, I had a cat named Rusty. He would sleep with me at night and was basically my cat. Another one was named Neko. Which is Japanese for cat. She was found behind my stepmom’s workplace, and I brought her home. I was the only one who she seemed to like, even having given birth to her litter of kittens next to me.

October, Is Black Cat Awareness Month
As an animal lover and advocate for black cats, I am here today to draw attention to keeping our furry friends safe. October is black cat awareness month, and I would like people to be mindful of these little guys as Halloween draws closer. The black cat has long been the center of many myths and superstitions portraying them as evil creatures. Unfortunately, these ideas place them in danger of brutalization and ritualistic sacrifices. Even in modern times, the risk potential is a threat to these animals, so I am hoping today I can debunk some of the myths that still follow the black cat making people more aware.
