Things to Let Go of in the New Year
2019 is here and we're still finding ourselves somewhere we don’t belong. Some of us are still living in the past, while some of us are just living in the future, but there are some of us who are still struggling with their present.

Are You an Old Soul?
What is numerology? The beginning of numerology is somewhat of a mystery. Some of the first written records of numerology appear in Egypt and Babylon. There is also compelling evidence that numerology was used thousands of years ago in China, Rome, Japan, and Greece. Numerology has been found to stem back all the way to BC a practice even our ancestors were familiar with.

Adversity
Many extraordinary people have come out and brought interesting insights to our world. The old phrase, "maybe things happen for a reason" comes to mind here. If someone had never come across a misfortune then what they brought into the world wouldn’t be part of our history. I believe Horace’s quote because there is so much one needs to think about. The only reason why we have Google is because somebody had a dream about it. It all depends on how we look at our misfortunes, either in a positive or a negative way.

Making 2019 Your BEST Year Yet
How often do we maintain our New Year's Resolutions? For most, we can endure the change for a few weeks, maybe a month, before slipping back into our old habits. But why is this? Why would committing to something that is beneficial to us be a burden instead of a priority?

Learning to Love Myself
Before this year I had spent most of my life craving and begging for validation and acceptance from my relationships with others. My decisions based upon the reactions I wanted from those around me and my heart constantly searching for a person to come around and validate that I was worthy of attention and admiration. Each relationship I held with a death grip, afraid to lose that sense of self-worth that I had defined based upon the affirmations that they spoke. When they were drained by my constant need of reassurance and broke away from me, I was left with this sense of feeling worthless and broken. On to the next, I searched for another person to complete in me what was broken, learning nothing from the time before.

Oh Look a Squirrel
I wasn’t going to write anything tonight or for the next few, days but I have some thoughts I need to get down. I’m not one for New Years. I don’t need a party or a bar or a club, in fact I’ll probably be asleep by 10 PM tonight, which is my norm. However, I understand that New Years night and day are important for many.

The Power of Habit. Top Story - January 2019.
December is an interesting month for most of the modern world as people get together with their families, eat a surplus amount of food, and exchange gifts or perform other religious acts. This holiday is quickly followed by an entire week of shopping deals, in which people are likely to participate considering they are still in the "money-spending mood."

Thoughts of a Strong 22-Year-Old Woman
I never dreamed life would be so hard. As a child, you think adults have it easy. You can’t wait to be one. I will forever reassure children being an adult is no fun. The only fun part is you don’t have any rules from your parents. However, I promise you will want those silly rules back.

Inner Purpose Journal (January '18)
(1/1/18) A good day. My purpose becomes more and more clear each day. The plan is there, the assistance is there, I just have to play my part. Do what I'm supposed to do. Love God. Love people. There is a lot I was put on this earth to create; it's game time now. The lights are on, it's time to perform. Continue to Learn. Continue to Grow.

Dear Universe
"Dear God" comes from one of my favorite books, The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Another story of the underdog woman, who rises strong within herself, finds love, and reunites with her long lost sister and children. A story that sings pain and fairytale like triumphedness. I find that a lot of my mentors find that I am not yet all that I could be in this life. I find that I am pushing myself to be greatness and achieve a sort of grand, unrealistic homeostasis. I wanted the relationship, the scholarship, the fantastic grades, the spiritual apex, the "Queen of the World," the justice for my people, a story where a woman like myself could rise grand out of the shadows with perfection and a strength unlike anything ever seen.
