A Gardening Journey
My Anticipation Have you ever looked at your messy drawer or closet and had this sudden inspiration to organize it? If you have, then perhaps a sudden urge to use your artistic creativity surfaces and you become obsessed with that one project. The excitement and joy while working on your task makes you feel alive. The anticipation of completing your project is worth every second of hard work when you can finally see the end result of your masterpiece.

Wreath Making
I have made many wreaths in the past two or three years. There was a time I used my own inspiration to design. Somewhere along the way though, after many a failed craft show, I decided to try to recreate in my style ones I saw online. I think that was the beginning of the end of my wreath making days.

Scissors on the concrete floor
Design has always been my greatest passion. When I was younger, I would create my own clothing, sketching out the final piece, tracing fabric and cutting it with my shears, and wearing the finished skirts and dresses to school. But it wasn’t until three years ago that I decided to delve into the art of handbags. I was at a consignment store in Manhattan and saw a Mulberry purse with clean stitches, perfectly sewn leather ruffles, and brass hardware. It was beautiful, but it cost $900. Looking at the steep price tag, I knew if I ever wanted a very well-constructed purse, I would need to learn how to make it myself.

Word Power
I have been fascinated by words all my life. Whether it is a funny word or a phrase, there are some that just catch my eye and melt my heart. I didn’t understand my love for what we use daily. Why was I so obsessed? What was it about these wonderful things that made me so happy?

A Perfectionist’s Paint Story
When I was a child I loved to draw, paint, and color on the walls with crayons. My love for creativity was a natural need for as long as I can remember. When I was five I began taking art classes every summer with my aunt who was fortunate enough to own her own art school. She could take an inexperienced artist, and instruct them in such a way that their art would rival Picasso. As I got older my mom wouldn’t allow me to take art classes at school, telling me that I already had that knowledge, and I needed to choose other electives in school to make me well rounded. That didn’t do much for me as all I did was change instruments every year as I hated taking anything that wasn’t art.

Tunnel Vision via Vision Board
The first step in creating the happiness that you desire and deserve is to create a plan, whether it be to create a vision board or a law of attraction roadmap, some form of an organized plan that allows you to incorporate the things you desire to fulfill your happiness is the right path to true happiness. Once you have an idea for a way to see your vision come to life, you can then start with expressing yourself creatively.

Things That Are Real
"The world is happening to you, it will come to you." It is very easy for me to drown in a sea of mundane things. This is, to me, is about technology, social media, phone calls, and the pressure to be successful, in spite of the economic downturn, they are constantly exposed to me?

Making The Best of a Difficult Situation
Making The Best of a Difficult Situation Debrarose Toscano Year after year I found myself unable to attend quilt shows due to various reasons: to far away, to expensive, unavailable due to work or family obligations etc.…. and then came COVID. After dealing with all the restrictions that we instantly had to face and sewing feverishly making face mask for family, friends, neighbors local nursing homes I was tired, nervous, and depressed. Until one day I read an email from Mancuso Show Management informing all of us that they were going to hold their first virtual quilt show. I immediately went to their website to check it out and instantly signed up for their event including various classes. I attended classes in each of their virtual shows in 2020 – wow what a great experience I was in my glory!!

Reframing 101: The Power of Perspective
The way you perceive your environment will differ greatly from the person next to you. To prove this point, ask yourself, regarding the photo above, is the lady falling or flying? It doesn't matter what the answer is. The point is the fact that two people could give different answers, purely based on two things:
