How to heal fully and properly.
A Dark and Turbulent Time
It's 2018, just a little less than 2 years ago when I experienced a moment in my life where I didn't have anywhere to live and was basically trying to live out of my car just so I wouldn't have to give my dog to someone until I got back on my feet. It was summertime. I had lost all faith from my family. My friends were there for me as much as they could be but for the first time ever, I felt truly lost. My mother had enough of my juvenile ways and I just wasn't ready to stop.

“Who did this?”
It’s was the beginning of the summer of 2020. The year started off with nothing but tragedy after tragedy. It was beginning to look like a Great Depression all over again. Many people losing jobs, police brutality expanding to murder with no justice, and riots worldwide. It’s a man made disease that’s causing the world so much stress! Look at it like this, money is the root to all evil because money controls the economy with racism still effective today!

Mindful Strides: Energy from Above and Below
A mindful walk is an excellent way to soothe a troubled mind, and can be accomplished by just about anybody. For this guide, you will need to be able to find a tree along your route. If you don’t have any good routes where you are for this, try to apply the visualizations to any other large structure you might see.

Mindful Strides
Before we start, I'd like for you to pack a bag, any kind of bag to bring along with us on our walk today. You will need to pack the following items; beach towel or blanket, sandals, bottled water, matches or lighter and your favorite scented candles. As we walk down the sandy path towards our destination today, I would like for you to know that no matter how far you may think you are from being in a "better place", that it is really just as close to you as a blink of an eye! Great! Now that we have packed what we need, we will start to walk down a path of heightened positivity all the while bringing us closer to obtaining genuine feelings of happiness, gratitude, serenity and peace. As we walk, pay attention to your surroundings, sounds, smells, and feelings. The sand crunches beneath our feet and the birds chirp directing us closer and closer to the salty air. Please disconnect yourself from anything and everything that does not have to do with our walk as it will interfere with our journey of bliss. We now have arrived at the beach, so let's get started. Please lay down your beach towel or blanket and take out your scented candles. Light the candles, I've brought with me Lavender-Vanilla scented candles and they smell fantastic!! Now remove your sandals, feel the sand beneath you lay down for a bit on your back and look into the deep blue sky, what do you see? A great way to connect to the earth and its surroundings is through a technique called "grounding". This is achieved by touching physically our feet or bodies, to the earths magnetic field by stepping barefoot on the land or laying on it. It is now time to walk towards the water. Take in five deep breaths, now with every exhale you are to release all negative thoughts and feelings and with every inhale you are going to let in you all the renewed positive, peaceful thoughts. Step into the water until you become submerged and drift out into the sea slowly. As you float think of what you want the ocean to take away from you. With every sound of the drifting waves you will release any negativity, bad energy, insecurities, and thoughts. They will be taken slowly away from you and brought out to sea. Listen to your breath, your heart beat... listen. While drifting farther and farther out to sea, you must allow a flow of renewing waves to bring to you any positivity, gratefulness, peace, harmony and replenished energy. The calm crashing waves have now helped you surrender naturally what was unwanted baggage and impurities. You have now filled your body and mind with new hope and a different perspective of life. Bring awareness to your eyes, so they can now see what you have not been able to see clearly. Bring awareness to your ears so they can hear what you have not been able to hear before. They now have an exquisite heightened detail in each and every sound. Bring awareness to your body to feel what ever it may touch with elevated senses of touch. Your lips must also experience a new awareness while speaking new words of meaning, full of inspiration and motivation. With all of these new super senses let a beam of light bring them into, the sun. It is time to drift back to shore, while drifting back please reflect on your new gifts, evolution, empathy, growth, potential and abundance. Breathe in with joy and relief now as you come closer to leaving the water. Please make sure that when you have left the water that you have also left the old you behind, washed away into the never ending sea. Life is like water, a constant cycle of renewal, cleansing, fluency and change. In order to achieve change you must always flow with the current and never against it, letting everything go, just drifting away.

Forever Pondering the Concept of Self Love
Today was pretty good but I'm feeling off tonight. It's about 11:30 pm. I'm painfully insecure and I have a horrible habit of comparing myself to other women, particularly on Instagram. Sometimes it's people I know in real life, sometimes it's someone I would probably never meet. I was feeling okay about myself today but then randomly started thinking about some girl I know who is a million times prettier than me and decided to scan her profile just to wish I could be her. It's a self-sabotaging thing I do, I intentionally view the profiles of these people who I feel so insecure about to figure out why I wasn't lucky enough to be that pretty or have that life or whatever it is. There is just a sense of satisfaction that I imagine comes along with being gifted with a perfect physical body, to look good in all pictures and from all angles, and to go about life feeling good about oneself. I wish I knew what that felt like. Sometimes I can agree that I'm pretty attractive, but it takes a lot of work for me to not crumble at the sight or thought of someone who is so much better than me, whoever it is that day.

Swimming With Wild Dolphins
On January 20, 2009, I wasn't planning on swimming with dolphins. I also wasn't planning on watching Obama's first inauguration in the lobby of the historic Manago Hotel in Captain Cook, Hawaii. I had simply wanted to escape the confines of the land-locked work trade I'd drifted into at South Point, the most southerly point in the entire 50 states. Somehow I, a passionate ocean lover, had found myself without a car, far from the water pulling weeds and painting two-by-fours at a retreat center that could only be accessed by driving through a cow pasture. There was a bull, too, which made walking out to the road even more intimidating.
