Stuck Between a Rock and New Place
It's all-new. And so damn familiar. The sun warms my back, a trickle of well-earned sweat runs the ladder of my spine. When it comes to sport climbing I am still a fetus in terms of experience. I am still covered in the afterbirth of this physical pursuit. And yet, there is that ping of the familiar. An emotional déjà vu.

You Are More Than You Think
You are more powerful than you think you are. You are more intuitive than you think you are. You can endure more than you give yourself credit. Why is that, you say? Let me explain. We live in a world where people underestimate themselves. Not only do they underestimate their own potential, but their own inner power.

Restoration from Negativity
It never fails, in my case, that whenever I have a positive train of thought, something or someone tries to hit me with negativity of some form. Whether it’s a story of something negative a friend or family member has recently experienced, and that person just needs to vent. Or, something that I was hoping for, maybe even expecting to happen, doesn’t go the way I had planned. It’s like I’ve always heard from my elders, the devil always finds a way to rear his ugly head when you’re feeling good about something. As I get older, I know that concept is true from personal experiences and from hearing about the experiences of others feeling as I do. It's all a part of this priceless gift called life.

Dare to Dream
Everyone has their dreams, no matter who you are or what position you are in. Whether it is that you want to be in a better situation than you are now, or you dream to have more money, more freedom or more happiness. Then you have the dreams that you have formed that you set as goals and work towards, like starting a company or starting something new like a career or hobby or you want to create something to show who you are, like a book or vlogs or podcasts. Dreams can be small, or they can be big.

Benefits of Planning Ahead
I know there are some out there that don't believe in planning ahead. We never want to be bogged down by expectations and rules but we create these plans for our own benefit. Planning ahead could mean planning for the distant future or even for the day. Regardless of what kind of planning is done it will no doubt help you save money, time and your personal well-being.

Fear: Killer of Hopes and Dreams
Fear: That terrifying feeling that grips your entire being into paralyzing inaction. A state of being that prevents us from living a full and complete life where our dreams are possible and life is full of beauty and wonder. Fear of living is not living at all. It is death while breathing, but not completely... It is the inability to see your potential, realize it and make It happen. It is utter agony to be in such a state of inaction where your thoughts control your motivation and next steps.

Things I Want to Learn in the Next Two Years
Last week, I took a 20 minute nap and when I woke up, my thought was “Wouldn’t it be nice if I were to spend those 20 minutes doing something that will help me in the future?” Don’t get me wrong, it was a good nap and I was refreshed afterwards, but after I take one, I can’t help but feel guilty and lazy. To me, when I take a nap, I feel like I’m not being my best productive self, and am stopping time and my growth. During this summer, I’ve had a lot of free time, and I’m sure I’m not the only taking advantage of this time, but I don’t want to be like the rest of my peers. When it comes time to applying to college or jobs, I want to have a list of skills that will differentiate me the pack; and now, going into my junior year seems like the time to do that. Here are skills and thing I want to do during the next two years before I graduate.
