2021: We Need To Communicate
Dear Tola, I have known you for over 23 years;more if we count the time in safe haven, and possibly really well for 15 years, if we count our earliest memories; some of which I vaguely remember. So imagine the disappointment I have that I have never thought of writing a letter to you. I know what you are likely thinking, reading this and all; Why can't I just text, whatsapp, or send you a dm?

Introduction
It’s funny when you start to envision realities that you want to create in your life. “The Secret.” A movie that was made explaining the law of attraction. Does it work? That’s something we all have to decide and figure out on our own. This will be my introduction story.

Unlearning “Me”
As a child, do you remember learning how to play with your toys? Do you remember learning how to sing your A, B, C’s? Do you remember learning how to ride your bike? Tie your shoes? Brush your teeth? What about learning how to befriend someone? Do you remember? Let’s just say that 9 times out of 10, we subconsciously remember.

2021 and On
Dear Anthony, Last year you, were going through some troubled waters. It wasn’t anything devastating, just depressing and prolonged any traction you may have had the year prior. You were trying to build trying to work on you but it got put on hold.

Dear 2021
Dear 2021, I have never been one to love and embrace resolutions. I'm more of the, "Que sera, sera" type. Resolutions are hard work, after all. What if I don't succeed in my goals and grow discouraged? And didn't 2020 remind me how helpless I am when it comes to being in control? I even struggle to write this letter because what if, by telling everyone, I jinx it? It is much easier to succumb to the fear of failure than to dream of the possibilities.

Goodbye 2020 Hello 2021
SWelcome 2021 FINALLY! Let's me start out by saying you BETTER be way easier on us then 2020 was because I don't think any of us have it in us to keep up with how things are much longer. We all want to be able to walk outside air clean with no mask again. We all want to be with our family again. We all want to be able to go out to dinner and a movie on a Friday night again. We all want to attend concerts and amusement parks again. Its almost crazy to think back on a world not how it is now as if it almost never existed to begin with. Now I don't know about any of you but I for one know I am officially done with the 2020 version of the world! I know there isn't a whole lot we can do but at least we do still have control of our own lives and we can still choose what we decide to accomplish everyday we step out of that bed for ourselves. I'm sure a lot of our resolutions are the same in the bigger aspect of things but I figured I could share some of my own personal goals for myself in this new year. Day 1 of 365 this is our story; time to choose how we want our book to end this time.

Dear 2021 New Year
Dear 2021 New Year, The year 2020, tried it’s hardest to get the best of us. In some cases, it did. Devastating fires in Australia and parts of the U.S. A global pandemic shut down the world and took many lives. Murder hornets, impeachment of the president, elections, Harvey Weinstein was convicted in his sex offender trial, stock market crash, BLM protests for things that have yet to be resolved, Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested for her role in the Epsteien sex ring, just to name a few.

Subtle Approach To My New Years Resolution- 2021
Dear Teisha LeShea, I hope you are spending the third day of January, well. I won't waste your time reflecting on what 2020 brought. I want to use this blank white canvas to paint a picture of what's to come in 2021. Your vision isn't quite 2020; hence you wear glasses, but you've always dreamed about the possibilities. You've always been a maladaptive daydreamer allowing your gift of empathy to think, feel, taste, and hear the future. Many will call it psychotic I call it having a utopian experience that keeps you centered. This form of meditation has been crystal clear in your life that you could envision it without glasses. If I haven't told you, I wanted to reiterate that I'm so proud of your strength. I can see yourself blossoming into the rose I knew you would become. Reading about your life on paper, you are a representative of a rose that grew from concrete.

The Four Laws of Habit Change.
After James Clear - Atomic Habits. I ride a motorbike which I love. I love the closeness to the feeling of speed in control. I love the physicality of riding, of tilting my body to swerve and turn. There is no feeling like acceleration quite like an intentional, progressive twist of the throttle with the power pushing you whilst you balance on two wheels. But none of this pleasure would be possible if I hadn’t first made the commitment to learning and then to make it automatic. I don’t have to think about it. I can just do it. None of this would be possible if I didn’t form habits, assumptions and automatic thinking. We need habits. We need habits to survive and to thrive.
