When Dhoni was appointed captain for India in the first T20 world cup, no one believed in him winning the world cup because many senior players decided not to play in the T20 world cup. Dhoni's captaincy throughout the World Cup impressed the cricketing community because most of his decisions were unusual and he ended up with the result that many desired. At the final of the T20 World Cup, where India and Pakistan played for the second time, that was a high-intensity match.
