No, It's not that your Dream isn't Big Enough!

Why motivation for yourself may be lacking...

Have you ever wondered, why is it so easy to show up for others every single day but when it’s your own work that you are trying to create; that you've yearned to do for soo long, that it takes almost all of the motivation in the world to just sit down and accomplish it?

It's quite interesting if you think about it. We easily force ourselves to go to our current job, one we don’t even like all that much. Or we will go to an event, party/outing when it's really the last place we want to be at that particular moment. We somehow make time for it when we don't love it. What's even better is we make it a priority!

We have those days we are completely unmotivated, burnt out and somehow we PUSH through our blocks to get the work done or to show up for others.

On the contrary, when it comes to our very own needs, wants, desires; the things that make us happy - we sit there and are unable to focus. We have a ton of ideas that pass through our mind, yet, we aren’t able to truly focus on how to develop it, create it, or execute it.

We ask ourselves, "WHY is this?"

or

"What is Wrong with me"

We start to doubt our abilities to do the things we have wanted to do and blame it on time, motivation, or even lack of resources.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret though...

It isn't because there is something wrong with you, and it is definitely not due to a lack of time, motivation or resources.

You see, it's mostly because you have lost sight of who you truly are on an internal level. Your mirror has become fogged. You are unsure of our potency due to the mundane lifestyle that, unfortunately, most of us have created for ourselves.

We fell into the trap of living out someone else's dream thinking it would allow us to have the freedom we seek. However, we were wrong. Every day it took a little bit of our soul/ our inspiration. Every day it continuously takes a little bit of our soul/inspiration and the fog gets thicker and thicker making it harder for us to see within, let alone see out.

When this happens, we are now in the comfort zone. Meaning we got attached to the safety and security of familiarty. That means the things we have done so many times, even though we don't like it, they are comfortable to us. We may not like them but we know them and that is our reptilian brain encouraging us to do it over and over again because there is safety in the knowing.

SO... here is my invitation to you. The next time you can’t focus on your dream. Don’t think it’s not big enough or you're not good enough. It is and you are!

Instead, I invite you to focus on yourself and become mindful. Mindful of your being. Let yourself really hone on what your true values and morals are. Connect with the heartfelt reason on why you wanted to create something in the first place.

You may find that the reason the job you have is so draining is because it doesn't align with your values and morals. Sometimes, just knowing where and how it doesn't align can make all the difference in the world.

Once you reconnect with yourself, figure out those values and morals, it will allow your true essence to flow through. When you are in alignment productivity will soar.

Trust me, from personal and professional experience, understanding who you are within can create the biggest life changes both internally and externally.

So remember, it's not that your dreams aren't big enough or that you are not good enough. It's really just understanding WHAT you stand for and WHO you are without the labels.
