Dreaming
In my life, I always had a thing for dreaming... I knew there was something bigger out there, waiting in the universe. Sure, dreams exist in big and small things. They live in everything. From our need to touch the sky as astronauts as a kid to our desire to look at Tumblr and Instagram pictures, it can’t help but to strike our imagination. We want the awe, the mystical, the whimsical and the beauty of it all. It exists in pop culture, in the schools, at work, at the mall, at the movie theatre, and everywhere you look. There is also something bigger, more intricate, more amazing, and more philosophical, something that makes us human. It’s our greatest nature as humans. Here, I’ll explain it to you and maybe you’ll understand why I’m so interested in it...

Trust the Process
I've always felt like such a late bloomer. Ever since I was a kid, I would observe my peers and my friends. I would see them excel at certain things I felt I was not able to easily get. I would see them getting those math problems, earning those awards, and nailing those grades. I would even see girls blooming into maturity, dating the cool guy, or just enjoying popularity. I realized I was definitely different and I learned at an early age to appreciate my individuality. Since "comparison is the thief of joy." I allowed myself to observe without envy. Also, my mother always made it clear that God gave me my own gifts and I would learn to appreciate them and utilize them as I got older and I believed her. This truth allowed me to start looking for my strengths early on so I could cultivate them.

An Everyday Struggle
Life is full of uncertainty. As hard as it is to admit being hurt so many times, I will say I’m still thankful for those people that have not given up on me, even though many things I have hidden away and done my best to not let them show based off of how I interact, treat, and love others.

A Guide to Manifesting Your Dreams
You have probably heard that to be successful you have to work really hard and have dedication and determination (which are well... kind of the same thing). And I'm here to tell you that that's total bullshit. If you know what you want, and most importantly know that you can have it, you will have it. It sounds cliche, but it really is as simple as that. Let me break it down for you:

38 Things I Would Tell My 16-Year-Old Self
When you’re 16, you think you’re on top of the world. You think that you know everything and anything, can’t wait to move on from high school and get out of your parents house. You can’t wait to finally be on your own.

A Crucial Part in Our Relationship With Ourselves: Self-Trust
Today's meditation dealing with Relationship with Self was talking about Self-Trust; the subject couldn't have been more fitting. It was fitting because it explained a lot about what I've been going through lately and it was also in great conflict with an agreement I made with myself a few years ago.

Best Self Help Books for Low Self-Esteem
Many of us feel under the weather nearly everyday. And I don't mean we're dealing with a cold, I'm talking about low self-esteem. There are multiple people out there who are constantly dealing with low self-esteem on the daily and just can't seem to pick themselves up in the mornings. At work or at school, low self-esteem can prevent us from doing so many things. This can even hold us back from accomplishing and reaching for our goals in life.

I Never Thought I Could Sing Opera
If you had told my sixteen-year-old self that in six years, I would not only have the confidence and skills to sing in front of any size of crowd, but that I would have a large role in an opera, I don't know what she would have done. Probably laughed it off in disbelief, or maybe smacked your arm before sticking my tongue out at you and running away. It would just seem too far-fetched. Especially since I couldn't hold a pitch to save my life.

The Worker Today
Through our lifetime we put all our energy into spending our first years learning to walk and talk, then the next few years starting school all the way to graduation. With the hopes that you will secure a good paying job and then working the rest of your years until retirement. But what are we attempting to secure? Happiness? perhaps a life that feels everlasting and fulfilling in every way. Maybe you are simply working to supply the basic needs in life (food, shelter, and clothing). What ever the reason we are always searching, eventually we run into this inevitable feeling of despair and uselessness. The big question I want to ask is how? How do we go about living life and working towards a goal without this deep dark feeling of running like a hamster in a wheel?
