Interview With Zachary Larmore
According to a Harvard study, men and women released from incarceration have trouble finding work and are usually employed in low-wage jobs that offer little opportunity for advancement. Poor labor market outcomes among released prisoners are often explained by low levels of schooling, a lack of work experience, and continuing criminal involvement. Through the effects of criminal stigma or eroded human capital during incarceration, serving time in prison has itself been found to reduce employment by as much as a third, and hourly wages by ten to twenty percent (Freeman 1992; Western 2006; Mueller- Smith 2014; cf. Kling 2006; for reviews see Western et al. 2001 and Holzer 2009).

What I Learned About Homelessness
When my original contract at the company I currently work for ended, I found myself needing a part time job while I was finishing the Data Analytics and Visualization boot camp at UT. I knocked around for a couple days, and found myself standing in a wool coat on the freezing cold floor of a warehouse on Koenig Lane. It was January. Rain hammered the building. I kept my hands shoved in my pockets to keep from shivering as the manager, my manager, gave myself and another applicant the run down of our positions. We were on-boarded almost immediately and started the next week.

How Did Google Get Started
Google turned 23 this month. As I’m 49, it means a lot that I can’t remember a time when Google wasn’t on our desktops, and I remember a time before the internet existed. Googles’ Ap Store, Google Search Engine, Google Play, Google Servers, or just Google the company. Google has become a modern-day tech giant and a part of our culture.
