So Why Don't You Make One?
As a bit of a film and television critic, one could rightfully, some might think, ask if I could do any better. After all, making a film is not easy. As the saying goes, if it was, everyone would do it. Maybe that's true. But as technology has advanced and many professions that were the preserve of the few, become accessible to all, increasing numbers of people are doing exactly that; making films.

The Sacrifice for Acting
Becoming an actor in this day and age is difficult. Not everyone will get it and perceive you as not thinking "practical." Who in their right mind wants to do it? I love a challenge and I tell myself, as long as I know I choose not to stop, I'll be fine. But what cost does it have on my lifestyle?

The Road to Becoming a Firefighter
If my friends and family know anything about me, it's that I am the type of person that does not take no for an answer. My entire life I have been told that I am not smart enough, strong enough, fast enough, even pretty enough to do the things that I have set my mind to and accomplished. I've been told I am too small, too cute, not assertive enough, etc. The funny thing is, I was previously Law Enforcement and, to be honest, most LEOs are Type A personality type of people. I have always been the person that speaks her mind, for the most part. I may not have been assertive in other aspects of my life, but when it came to my job, oh you damn well know I will speak my mind and say what I have to say.

Small Town Model in a Big City
I never thought I would've had the opportunity to model as a teen. As a teenage girl, I was obsessed with Tyra Banks' America's Next Top Model. I was always fantasizing about getting paid to wear such luxurious art pieces in exotic locations I can't even pronounce. Part of the reason why I never thought I was good enough to be a model, came from the opinions of other people. In elementary school, I grew up in the inner city school district. Girls would often tease me for my "proper accent" and my skin eczema. I even remember a boy tried to beat me up on the playground. It got so bad to the point where my mom had to take me out of the district. I spent a year going to school in Kansas. I had never felt so out of place before.
