Most people have the luxury of dating locals, but not all of us have that luxury. Being in a long distance relationship is brutal, but thankfully, it's not as bad as it once was. There are now tons of products that help people from around the world stay in contact with their significant others.

How to Get People to Show Their True Colors
Facebook is my livelihood. No, that is not sarcasm or an exaggeration; the majority of my income comes from writing posts for small businesses. So, when people tell me that I should take a break from the social networks, I have to politely tell them to mind their own beeswax. Sometimes, though, I'll post something on Facebook just to get a rise out of people, just for the fun of it. The fastest way to find out someone's true colors is to post something that could vaguely be about them.

5 Benefits of Online Dating
In a time when McDonald’s isn’t fast enough for some people, it should come as no surprise that our grandmother’s ways of dating are slipping away. It seems that the general population is too caught up with work, school, their family, or all of the above to set time aside to go out and date socially. Enter online dating. Will it take over the traditional dating scene? It’s hard to say, but it is definitely playing a major role in how people are connecting and socializing.

John and Jane... and Social Media
Let's visit John and Jane again in their humble apartment. The two have been dating for four years and living together for one. They have known each other for a long amount of time, going to the same high school. Their relationship has been through its ups and downs and is currently in the slumps. They find that they're bored, not with each other, but with life in general. They come home and do the same things, watch the same movies, TV shows, and flit around a routine that was set months ago.

Everyone Hates Rivas
I make no excuses and I speak for no one besides myself. I pull no punches and I look myself in the mirror yesterday and tomorrow. I've had to live like that, and I can't not at this point. It hasn't always been so successful and I haven't always liked or respected myself. Only Mitch Hedberg can judge me, and he hasn't been around for quite some time.

No Hate
So, I randomly clicked on a video on YouTube. It was a proposal video. A woman proposing to her longtime girlfriend. It was very sweet and very beautiful. Then I started to read the comments on the video and felt really disgusted by what these people said. I can't believe how close minded some people are. Those words hurt me a lot. I saw words like faggot, and dykes. One person even said, "We need more gas chambers."

Instagram Can Have You Insta-Divorced!
By now, almost all of us are plugged into social media in some form or fashion. It’s a great way to not only stay connected to distant family and friends, but it’s also an excellent way to communicate with interesting people we’ve never met. Awesome sauce! Right? Well presumably so, yes. But in a marriage, too much Facebook and not enough face time (no not the app) can be detrimental. More and more, I’m hearing rumblings of social media going awry in married life. But how is this possible? How can an app on my phone or a non-pornographic website cause so much turmoil on the home front? Well, if you’ve ever heard that too much of anything is not good, even if it’s supposed to be a good thing, then you’re beginning to get an idea of where I’m going with this.

Does Unfriending on Facebook Mean Unfriending In Real Life?
June is LGBT Pride month, even if the current resident of the White House won't recognize it. So it's fair to tell you that I am part of the community, I'll wait while you pick your jaws up off the floor. It's true, I am a gay man and I am very proud to be part of this community. That also means I can be a little sensitive about things people post on Facebook, in regards to my community.
