Interactions With Our Friends and Acquaintances Online and Offline
So here I am, wandering around online. I see old friends, and new friends, and some people I call my “online” family. Then there are those whom I think of as just acquaintances. Each one unique in their own way.

The Story Of My Most Successful Vocal Article.
On Friday, I was like any other would-be writer here on Vocal. And, I still am. The difference is, I now know I can put together something that is well received, well-liked, and popular enough to nail down some readers.

Five problems With Social Media
It has been said before, but I will say it again. We are a people more connected then ever before, yet are all the lonelier for it. Social Media has opened a world of opportunity never before imagined. A chance for anyone to become something, to find an "out of the box" source of success that was never available to the previous generations.

beware of social media
This might come as a shock to some people, the internet is a dangerous place to dwell unless you know your way round and what to do while your there. There are some nice people, some nice sites but some nasty stuff too. Stuff that wants your computer contents, your money or much, much worse.

Why people Troll
Until about 6 months ago, I honestly believed that trolling was something that happened to the youth. At 47 years old I’d travelled my life without harassment or bullying, but then out of the blue a hate campaign began, and it took me completely by surprise

Down Right Worthy is the Cutest Girl on Instagram
I was scrolling through my Instagram last evening. I was super tired, but unable to let my phone go for the night. During my half-hearted scrolling using only my one thumb, hoping to catch some useless celebrity gossip or last minute news. In an ad for Tik Tok, or a suggestion to follow. I can’t honestly remember now. I discovered Down Right Worthy, or @downrightworthy.

From Lockdown Leggings to Art Supplies
2020 was a year I could never have predicted, it was certainly a year my credit cards did not see coming. It began with my usual ideas of what I was going to do. Mainly attending competitive agility shows with my dogs and try to qualify for some of the big events (Crufts, Olympia). I was thinking about my caravan and travelling all over the country with it. I was looking forward to meeting up with friends, some of whom I am only able to catch up with once or twice a year.

Not So Jedi Purchase
2020 was already a different kind of year for everyone. I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain why! So, if you're like me you wanted to keep your shopping in the malls limited over the holidays. I swear I spent more time on social media in 2020 just looking at ads. In November and December, I bought every Christmas gift off either Facebook or Instagram. I purchased a light-up piano for my autistic daughter, I purchased my oldest daughter a crown ring, I purchased my brother-in-law a small projector to watch Netflix on in his room, I even purchased a star in the sky for my stepdaughter, and many more cool items. I felt pretty good about my purchases. They all even arrived on time. Except one! It was a duel lightsaber from Star Wars. The video and pictures for this item were epic! Here let me show you...

The diet culture trap
Over the years, I have gained a few kilograms. From medication fails to be locked inside, due to Covid-19. Sometimes, my teenage self creeps into my head, because back then, I was too young to understand the societal pressures of being thin. It was thin, or nothing. Big was not beautiful. So, I lost a heap of weight, and not in the healthiest way either. I am now twenty-six years old. I am big again, and I am trying to believe I am beautiful. I changed my perspective and started to follow plus-size accounts on Instagram. It was a nice change to see a bunch of humans from around the world embracing the idea that all bodies are beautiful.

My battle is with Facebook
Sometimes I see posts from girls in a large Facebook group I am a part of and I think to myself how the hell did they spend all that money without realizing until now? Or I will look at their Afterpay balance they are sharing and think why do people spend so much on useless things?!
