friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Ending a Long Friendship
This is gonna be a tough one. About a year ago, I decided to end a thirteen-year friendship with my best friend. What made me do it was the fact that I noticed I kept feeling really down when I was around him. I was getting to a good place and I just felt like he was bringing me down. Now, I understand that he was going through a rough time as well. He was separated from his husband. So at that point, our friendship to me felt more like an obligation. I was just getting drained every time I was with him.

The Phone Call
It's 1 AM, Jett wakes up from what seems like the best sleep he's ever had in the last five years. He gets out of bed, his room has been cleaned out for weeks. The only things he has left is a suitcase full of clothes, a toothbrush, an electric razor with aftershave lotion, and some cotton balls with a backpack full of snacks for the road. The drinks are in the car already. They consist of cans of Arizona, Mountain Dew Kickstarts, and some water. He goes to his window to look at his car, a red 1972 Chevy Chevelle SS with racing stripes on it and named it Kelly since he always loved Saved by the Bell.

If you haven’t, let me tell you, you are the anomaly, you are the 1 percent. For the rest of us, things that happen with our friends can affect every other aspect of our lives. Sometimes this is not anyone’s fault, or it is equally both parties fault. However you want to look at it, some friendships are toxic. Sometimes it is because both people have different sets of values, and because your values are different, it's hard to understand one another, especially when one party is upset with the other. Sometimes, the person(s) is just nasty. Today I’ll to try and outline the signs of a toxic friendship; the first sign is that:
