You Can't Be Nobody's Lover
There's a song that Ashford and Simpson did in the Good Old Days of Real Music called "Over & Over." The song says "Over and Over, Time Again, You can't be nobody's lover, till you're somebody's friend." This song has been resonating in my spirit for the last few days. It's something about those original school songs. They had a message. "Over and Over," also covered by the Late Sylvester, has a message of "Being Friends First." This song is still relevant to today's society in a time to where things are rushed ie marriage, relationships, life, and death.

Sexism in the 21st Century.
The wonders of the modern age are numerous; we have been able to land on the moon, cure or treat a whole host of diseases and create pocket computers. Yet we still cling to the stupid belief that women are somehow inferior. They are not and men have only created this impression out of fear.

Why Didn't I Think of That Earlier?
There is little more frustrating than the inability to come up with a witty or off-the-cuff remark when insulted (either accidentally or on purpose). You freeze. Possibly stand still. If you’re anything like me the word "fuck" repeats over and over in your head in this really urgent loop. Sometimes I used walk away to only realise at a later point that I have little crescent moons embedded in my palms from having my fists so tightly balled. The funny thing is that maybe half an hour later it comes to you—the exact thing that would’ve been perfect to say. The exact thing that would’ve knocked that smug look right off their face, or if they’d inadvertently offended you, make them reconsider the fact that they obviously hadn’t thought of your feelings. You know you’re better than this, right? You’re better than them. This wasn’t you at your best and you go mad thinking about how you’d do things differently and you would be the one walking away high-fiving people and looking smugger (is that even a word?) than that sap Juliette Lewis.

Do Not Fall for Jail House Talk
My off and on again boyfriend admitted to me on our first visit after he went to jail that he loved me and that he was sorry he had not told me how he really felt before then. He released his property to me and asked to make sure we had phone time and he could get commissary. I took care of his finances and made sure he had everything he needed. He left the rest of his money with me so I would be ok, the next 2 months I had done the same. I even went beyond as to visit every other day for 2 1/2 months and him asking me to marry him (I said yes) as soon as he got out. Well, he gets released, the first day he was glad to see me and we had a good day. The next day he wakes up sick, and grumpy with an intense headache.

How My First Love Is Still Ruining Everything. Top Story - June 2017.
I remember everything about the very first moment I saw him -- really saw him. We had been in the same class all year, but for some reason, on that particular afternoon I looked over my left shoulder to the back row of the lecture hall, and my gaze automatically landed on him. Even though this was years ago now, I can still see the sparkle in his eyes as he laughed with the guys next to him. His dimples accentuated, his forearms resting on the desk in front of him with his checkered button-down shirt sleeves just slightly rolled up. "He is cute," was the only thought in my mind. Too cute for me. It wasn't until months later that we actually spoke, but I always go back to that very first moment purely for its tranquility. Before the pain, before the chaos, before the hurricane that we became.

Rules for a Casual Relationship
Relationships can get sticky, and to a point, all relationships seem to have some kind of drama risk associated with them. But, some kinds of relationships seem to get messier than others. Casual relationships, for example, tend to have a lot of problems in them — and often result in ugly, nasty blowups.
