To the Young Woman Who Stayed Too Long
He told you he could see himself marrying a chocolate goddess who he could bring forth life's greatest gift with. His fingers seduced you with strings on an acoustic guitar, and his voice serenaded you into a false sense of home. You stayed for five long years thinking, no praying, that things would get better, all for it to crumble beneath your feet one lone night. The phone he used to sit out in the open, he now clutched tightly in his grasp close to his chest. The password is no longer a mix of your birthday and anniversary. He leaves the room to respond to anonymous texts and exits the house to answer calls. You finally work up the courage to demand the truth as you are two seconds away from losing your sanity. As he opens his mouth to speak, you can't quite believe the words that come tumbling out next. He doesn't know if he ever loved you or if he could ever love you.

Long-Distance Relationships and How to Survive Them
My boyfriend Lachlan and I have been together for 14 months. We've been in love for longer, but have spent only three of those months face-to-face (until now). I can't tell you how hard it is having to drive him to the airport and watch him dwindle into a dot, with a final wave before I am alone again. I find it hilarious how so many women think it's okay for a woman to confide in or sleep with another man because she's not getting the love, time and attention she feels she should be getting at home. She feels if her man was doing as he should, it would leave no room for her to cheat. Oh but when her man cheats, it's because he doesn't love her. She feels betrayed because she feels that she's the perfect woman and gives him everything he needs at home. You may think you know the reason he cheated, but you're not always right. Some of y'all are so busy thinking that your perfect, you don't even realize the mistakes that you're making in your relationship.
