Taxi Driver
For The Vocal Spooky Micro Challenge

"There was only one rule: don’t open the door.”
Apparently.
The was a sign on the wall saying "Do Not Open The Door" which he noticed as he walked up to the counter.
He was confused, he didn't know how he had got here or what he was doing here.
The person at the counter had a strange complexion, almost as though they were made of smoke.
He was handed the keys and they told him the yellow taxi outside was his. He was told to get in the taxi and wait for a call for his first far.
Taxi Driver? Was he a taxi driver? He felt even more confused.
He found the taxi and got in.
The radio was playing "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes. He reached to change the channel, but the buttons didn't work. The song started to play again. He hated that song.
He waited for a fare but nothing came through and that song kept playing.
After a couple of hours, he decided to go back in and ask what was happening. He remembered the sign on the wall saying "Do Not Open The Door", he wasn't sure what it referred to but assumed it wasn't the taxi door.
He tried to open the door, but like the radio, it didn't work. He tried to start the car, but the keys only let him into the car, they would start the engine.
He then looked and saw that the road was filled with yellow taxis and most had drivers, but not were moving. He saw some trying to get out, but all were locked in.
Just before he got the keys he had been hit by a taxi and killed.
He didn't know it but this was his final resting place.

Omgggg, that was soooo creepy! So whoever dies by being hit by a taxi, their soul would be trapped inside a taxi. Loved your story!
So very creepy! And a terrible demise to be eternally stuck in traffic! Creative as always, Mike!
Spooky fun. What an idea for a different kind of graveyard. This was totally different from the other ones. Great work.
