The hidden world of all things supernatural; a look inside witchcraft, spells, vexes, black magic and other spine-tingling supernatural phenomena.
The Life of Rue O'Day
There's a strange thing about hiding underneath the blankets. There's a sense of safety, even when there is none. We feel safe, because we believe we are unseen, even if we aren't. There's a sense of safety in being invisible. Then there is companionship. We feel safe in numbers even though we should feel more like cattle being led to the slaughter. I hold on to Violence tight to my chest underneath the blankets, and feel that false safety and think, are we ever safe? Another thing that tricks you into feeling safe is silence. That long terrifying silence that feels like the ending of a storm to find that it has truly begun. Silence was in that hospital room even over the thumping of my heart and my heavy breathing there was silence. Yet then there's the heat. The heat of another being that makes companionship, but I didn't have that. I had fire.

10 Allegedly Cursed Items with Horrifying Backstories
Post Malone was "haunted by a cursed box." Or at least that's what I read. At first, I thought that I had drank too much, but I had not had my regular shot for the day. People magazine explained that Post Malone decided to visit a museum that held a cursed box called "the Dybbuk Box."

“Erotic Nightmares, Beyond Any Measure…” Femininity in 'Rocky Horror:' Fetishes, Demons, and Subhumans
Throughout the history of theater, femininity as presented on stage and on camera is a concept which has transformed significantly over time, alongside the ever-changing writing and performing of theater. Because the theatrical representation of femininity is rooted in a time when performance was exclusive to male actors, female characters in theater all began with a representation of femininity that some scholars say is ingenuine, while other scholars say is queer in the sense of nonconformity. When those perceived as women were banned from performing on the stage in the early ages, it is likely that most actors were male-identified; however, it is also impossible to know the true gender diversity that existed among actors who were perceived as men playing women’s roles.

10 Signs Your House Is Haunted
No joke, I've seen a ghost. I was in college when it happened, in the library late at night. It was a shadow person who peered over me while I was studying, and I was pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating. I looked directly at it, it didn't move. Then I blinked, and it was gone. I know what I saw; it was real.

Beautiful Creatures
I watch a lot of shows such as Supernatural and Teen Wolf and my fascination in mythical creatures and the supernatural has grown over the years. Every culture and religion has an extent of belief in mythological creatures and supernatural beings. I’ve always been intrigued at this as it suggests many, many years ago these creatures may have actually existed. However, nowadays there are no new stories about mythical creatures or the supernatural. This is an exploration into the idea that slowly, over time, supernatural creatures merged with humans. We became one, and that’s why each person is different.

A Friend in the Darkness
It was dark in the room, but I wasn’t alone. The hair on the back of my neck stood straight out, my skin having that feeling when you know someone or something is close to you but you can’t see it. My heart beat faster as I sat in my bed, staring into the dark.

The Pentacle Versus the Pentagram and Why You Should Never Use Both
I've been giving this particular topic a lot of thought. After all I'm not involved with the Pagan community, so I asked myself several times, "Is there something new I can bring to the table?" But in fact, there is.

2:31 AM
It’s only when the pressure on my bladder becomes unbearable that I realize it is 2:31 AM. I have been sitting in front of my computer, legs crossed in my chair, traveling down a very bizarre rabbit hole of conspiracy theory videos about gods walking among us and otherworldly incursions on YouTube for almost six hours straight. I did get up three times to pee, however, courtesy of my financially-crippling addiction to Diet Coke. That stuff runs right through me.

Carl Triscer—The Unknown
He was born into an aristocratic family in early 20th Century Britain, his father was a surgeon and his mother a royal seamstress. During his formative years, very strange phenomena occurred around him; metallic objects seemed to be attracted to him, electronics would go out of sync when he passed by, the plants that he grew were always larger and healthier than his neighbours and many times it would be heard that he was in two places simultaneously. So, his father being a surgeon, decided to place him in an experimental research facility called T.R.D in West Sussex.
