Like Mr. Utterson in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I use to love the theater but haven't stepped through the door of one in twenty years. The last movie I saw in an actual theater I think, was Mel Gibson in Signs. And that was probably twenty years ago. Since then, it has become unwise, for various reasons, to congregate too freely in large numbers with our fellow citizens. But there was a time when movie theaters and drive-ins were prime places of entertainment.

Appalachian Grandpa The Bone Collector Part 4
As we watched it rear up on its boney, half-formed tail, even Grandpa looked like we might be sunk. It had caught us, just like Grandpa had been afraid of, and now we would never be able to capture it. The Bone Collector would roam the woods like it had when it had been formed, and there wasn't a thing we could do to stop it. We had no net, no trap, and no amount of intent or desire could trap it without those things. We were done, but Grandpa wasn't quite ready to throw in the towel just yet.

Reed Alexander's Horror Review of 'Prey' (2022)

So, this was an excellent extension of the Predator franchise. It really captured most of the feel of the original movie, Predator (1987). This is a pretty good break from the lackluster AvP movies, and the good but kinda silly movie Predators (2010). I haven't seen The Predator (2018), so I'm not sure how it compares, but needless to say, Prey (2022) was a good return to form.

The Gray of Sunset

It happened when I was on my way home from the flea market across state lines. I sell things I make out of junk mostly. The term is Trash Sculptures in the community I belong to, but I never liked that term. Some may call them junk but to me, their treasures. I make all kinds of things from stuff I find at the dump. People, vehicles, animals, whatever catches my eye. They sell pretty good, but not in my home state. I usually end up driving to Sadies Flea Market, one of these huge sprawling outdoor markets in Alabama, to sell my wares. The people there love them, and today was the first time in a while I've come back with anything.
